In a just written Bloomberg News article entitled, "AIG Bonuses, Retreats May have Violated State Law, According to Cuomo", we can't help but smile. Apparently Andrew Cuomo who is a pretty powerful dude in New York State may be going after AIG for certain executive compensation and off-sites (which we like to refer to as boondoggles). What's going to be neat is when he has some hearing and they pull some wife of one of the execs on the stand and say, "ma'am was it necessary to have a seaweed wrap, aromatherapy massage, pedicure and manicure......EVERYDAY of your stay in that $1000 a night room being paid for by the US taxpayer??" Hopefully, one of them answers like Patrick Ewing the former NY Knick Center did when asked why the NBA players were on strike in 1999 despite making so much money, he replied, "yeah we make a lot of money, but we spend a lot of money too." Lets hope for high inadvertant comedy off this case and MANY others.� �
